Bird Saffold's Land Patents

I find that Bird Saffold received federal B.L.M. land patents for hundreds of acres in Newton County, MS in 1841. You can view the documents and order copies at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/. (I'm still looking for info re R.C. Saffold, by the way. Can you please help?)
