Seeking information on the descendant's of Ann B. Saffold & Nathanial Greene Foster (1809-1869) as well as his second wife Margaret E. Vinson (1830-1905). Ann and Nathaniel had at least four children: Julia(b 1841), Elizabeth F. (b.1841), Greene S.(b. 1848). Margaret & N.G. Foster had at least two children: Percy (b.1857) Mary (b. 1866).
I am not a descendant of the Saffold family but am trying to determine if there are any living descendant's from this family line for my research on the descendant's of Ebenezer Vinson of Hancock Co., GA. Hoping a Saffold researcher could clear up a question for me. In the Old Madison Cemetery there are three listings for wives of N.G. Foster: Ama Anderson & Ann B. Foster both with note that they are daughters of S.J. Saffold and J.S. Saffold and wife of N.G. Foster and Margaret E. Foster. Ama Anderson d. in 1862, her supposed sister Ann d. in 1848 probably due to childbirth at age 28. Since N.G. Foster married Margaret in 1849 and he died in 1869 and Margaret outlived him by 36 years. Then this Ama would have to have been his first wife and she must have divorced and remarried an Anderson. If anyone has information on the descendant's of Seaborn Saffold and Julia S. (don't know her maiden name) I would be interested to hear from you.
