Did Baltimore SADLERs ever become SEDLERs?
I am chasing a James W. Sedler, Sr. (1930-1998) from the Baltimore area. The only person who seems to fit appears under the surname SADDLER in the 1930 census.I have also seen it spelled SADLER.In the 1930 census, James W. SADDLER was a 2 month old son of John L and Blanche Saddler. The age is right, but am I on the wrong track?
Was it often the case that later generations might have changed the spelling to Sedler?Any help in finding info about James would be most appreciated.Thanks.
