CLAUD AND EDYTH SACKETTS DAUGHTER
ALICE M. LETAK
CLEVELAND - - Alice M. Letak, age 92, of Bay Village, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Bradley Bay Health Center.
She was born July 2, 1914 in Sheffield Township, to the late Claude and Edytha (Ely) Sackett. Alice had lived in the Sheffield area most of her life, she also spent 15 years in North Carolina with her son, and most recently in the Cleveland area with her daughter.
Alice was a press operator at Molded Fiberglass in Ashtabula until 1971.
She was a member of Sheffield Grange, and in her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Drabik of Cleveland; son, Richard Martin of Locust, N.C.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James; brother, Lawrence Sackett; and three sisters, Florence Johnson, Nellie Griggs, and Louise Hale.
At her request, there will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Gageville Cemetery, with Pastor Tim Kraus, of the Church of Christ, officiating.
THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut is handling arrangements.
