Lucia E. Hunt was the daughter of Edward Gray Hunt (1818 – 1871) and Lucia W. Prior (1825 – 1848). She was born in Duxbury, Massachusets in April 1847. On 12 September 1864 Lucia married John Wilson in Boston. John was 24, a wood-turner, and a native of New Orleans. Less than a month after they were married, John’s infantry regiment shipped out to Virginia, where it remained until June 1865. During that time the marriage appears to have foundered and they divorced.
On 27 May 1866 Lucia married William P. Sackett. While the marriage is noted in Duxbury records, there is a notation that it may have taken place in Albany, New York. The record indicates William was a merchant, a native of Long Island and a resident of New York City. His age was not given, and no information on his parents was provided.
I have been unable to find any information William and Lucia subsequent to their marriage. Could anyone help? Thanks.
