Joseph Sackett b. 1794 Bourban Co., KY m. Ann Vandolah 1816 in Greene Co., OH. In the 1820's they left Greene Co. for Mercer Co., OH. He died there in the late 1830's and she died there in the early 1840's. According to a write-up in a local paper of the 75th birthday of one of their daughters, they had 8 children, two sons & six daughters. This was backed up by the Mercer Co. 1840 census. Known children are: Mary Sackett b. Feb 25, 1817 Greene Co., OH; Samuel Sackett b. 1819 m. Zoah Ann Gallaher and removed to Adams Co., IN; Mercy Sackett b. ca 1820 m. John C. Murphy & lived in Miami Co., OH (when & where did she die?); John Sackett b. 1825 m. Eliza Clevenger & lived in Greene Co., OH & Leticia/Lutecia Sackett b. 1827 m. Benjamin Vaughn & lived in Montgomery CO., OH (when & where did she die-after 1902 Greene Co., OH?) My main question is-Who were the other three daughters and who did they marry? The newpaper article also states that after her mother died, she & her brothers struggled to keep the family together, however, they had to return to Greene Co. and they found homes with different families. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
