I am seeking the names of parents and siblings of Nelson Smith, who married Dimmes Sackett 8 Nov 1837 in Huron Co., Ohio. Dimmes M. Sackett was born 2 Jan 1818 in Tallmadge, Portage Co., OH, and died 19 June 1879 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH, according to information found on the Internet. Her father was Harvey Sackett (1791 - 1875) of Warren, Litchfield Co., CT; died in Ruggles, Huron Co. (now part of Ashland Co., OH). Her mother was Thalia Eldred, daughter of Samuel Eldred. Nelson Smith and Dimmes M. Sackett had 3 known children: Harriet J. (died at 31 on 31 Oct 1873), Theresa, and Thalia (who married a Mr. Cone). Did Nelson Smith come from Warren, Litchfield Co., Connecticut, like the Sacketts did?
