Dear Susan,
Yes, all those surnames, RINN, SACK, RUPPERT, WELLER are also in my KROECK/KROCK family line.It was a small town and the families intermarried quite often.Distantly ( and not so distantly ) related cousins with the same surnames often married. We must remember that was commonly done in Europe and in the American colonies even more frequently.Cornelius Vanderbilt's parents from Staten Island, NY, were first cousins and that was back in the 1790's.I was pretty surprised to find out my mother is also my 1st cousin 8 generations removed. It seems that 2 Weller first cousins married in the mid-1600's.
If you have dates to go along with your names I will cross-reference them with my lines.I know of several other distantly related cousins that also share those surnames and we have common ancestors but 8 or 9 generations removed.E-mail me at [email protected]
