My Nicolaus Sachse was a bricklayer. His wife wasCatharina Fischer Sachse

Find out where the town is located that your Nicolaus was born in. If it is in the same area and they were German Catholics then it is possible.

Keep communicating. You can write to the parish priest in the town, send $10.00 and you may get a response. That is what I did and I wrote in English. The priest gave the letter to the town historian and he wrote with some of the history.
