James,

I am a descendant of Gottlieb Sachs. His sister Caroline came to California first arriving in America in 1870. She married John Michael Hannemann and settled in Black’s Station (now named Zamora) north of Sacramento. Gottlieb followed in 1885 with his wife Rosine and children Christian G, Jacob, and Charles W. (my grandfather). They had 2 more children, Fred J. and Rose (Sachs) Harmon. I have not found out when the others arrived in California but Freda married Fred Loescher, William married Lizzie Weigle, Christian married Bertha Gobien and I have nothing yet on Henry. I have much more if you are interested.

Dennis
