A P.S. Lynn,
There is a state of Pa. archives on Line and a Ohio State archives on Line. Put in Vital Records for Pa, and then Vial Records for Ohio. They give an address and instructions. Also, Pa. has a system online called Vital Check for a copy on line. You give them the information and a credit card # and within 3 to 5 days you have a copy. As for Canada, let me push some buttons and get back to you.
I'd like to find out there system, in case I get a lead to Canada from the other half of the family from Ireland. The Galvin side is a mystery as well. I can document Patrick Galvin from Galway Ireland, once he arrived here, but in Ireland its like pulling teeth with a piece of string. I know that Patrick Galvin was my Grt.Grandfather, and his father was Michael Galvin, but I don't know who his mother was. I have not found his port of entry to the U.S. yet, and it could be he went to Canada or Nova Scotia first. Who knows!!! I have the same problem with England where Patricks wife was born.
