Hello there Sachs-Sox researchers. After posting the above request I received a newspaper sized reprint of an article written by Lee R. Gandee (dat not known)in which he states that one Heinrich Sachs arrived in Charleston in the year1744. He moved from there to Saxe Gotha and raised a family. His son Gotlieb is credited with being the progenitor of the groupthat changed their name changed their name to Sox and married in a number of prominet West Columbia families.
There married into the Senn family, the Leapharts, Gross,Gabel.

If any oif these families can add more to my research.....here I am: jnettles@cetlink.net
