My grand-grandfathers name was Heinrich Sachau and he was born 1887 somewhere in Schlesweg-Holstein.
He married Fanny Sachau nee Hellfritsch from somewhere in Thüringen.
They moved to Mönchwinkel near Berlin.
At the age of 40 Heinrich went away to sea. He had to be shipmaster. My aunt also told me that she had heard that Heinrich picked up people of the Titanic??
He died maybe in the 1940.
Heinrich had three sons named Jochen born 1915, Georg 1925, Jürgen 1928.
Jürgen had to be as a child at the Hamburgs "Bananenkeller".
Does anybody knows about ancestors of Heinrich ???
