I was wondering if in your research in Illinois you have found anything on a John Sabin. He is my husbands gr gr grandfather. The only thing I have found in regards to him is two census'. The first in 1850 in Winnebago Co. Illinois where he lists his age as 35 born in NY. that would put the yr abt 1815. In 1860 he is listed as age 48 and born in Ohio. Each census his wife Louisa or Lois was also listed as being born in first NY then Ohio. I just wondered if you had ever came across anything in your research since you were looking for that name and in Illinois. I have not found anything else about them with exception to their daughter Malinda who is my husbands gr grandmother. John and Louisa had other children Augnetta (?), Louisa H., James, Frank, and Leonard.
Oh by the way...when looking at the Illinois marriages of Sabin I found a Rosina Sabin married Alden R. Cole 11/17/1859 in Winnebago Co. Could that be related to your * Rosina?
