looking for Thomas Sabin; need suggestions

Any suggestions on to where to go next would be greatly appreciated, but please read through what I have done already (for it is quite extensive).

My 2nd cousin, whom is the age of my mother, sent me a few xerox copies of family photographs and a copy of some information on a passenger ship list. The gentleman's name on the list is THOMAS SABIN. Up to now we didn't know my 2nd great-grandmother's father's name (and I believe this gentleman would be his father--not her father). I only know my 2nd great-grandmother's mother's name and her ancestry. We have been unable to find her husband listed in any Census, though we know he was born in KY. 3rd great-grandma is listed in the 1880 with some of her children, a nephew and a brother. It is funny but none of the family shows up from 1850 through 1870--I find it hard to believe that a family can be missed all of those years. All children were born in Indiana too. But now I am straying from the problem at hand.

I have a full subscription to Ancestry.com (and used it) and am quite versatile in researching the Internet. I have also visited my local library to the Genealogy Dept and inquired there.

Now here is what the passenger list information is:

SABIN
Class: TP
File No. 338
Date of Arrival: Dec. 6, 1774
Ship Name: Generous Friend
Ship Commander-Captain: Robert Mc Kown
Ref. Tepper's Passengers to America.
other notes: Port of London to Antigua

I immediately did a search for Sabin and Tepper and found the reference to Thomas Sabin and that he settled in Antigua in 1774. I had to search for where Antigua is located--it is an island in the Carribean. Ancestry. com provided 3 sources where this information appears, my local library had 2 of them. There was another website which also listed things about early Saban/Sabin/Sabyn/Sabine Arrivals--it too listed 3 sources--2 of the same were at my local library.

Of course looking at the books did provide a tad more information such as the following:

left Port of London
travel time 28 Nov to 6 Dec 1774
ship: by "Generous Friend", Mr. G. Rolland, to Antigua:
Thomas Sabin of Oxford, aged 15; going as merchant's clerk
Thomas Secker of London, aged 14; going as merchant's clerk
Philip Spence of Kent, aged 14; going as merchant's clerk

I have also tried to look up the ship's captain and this mysterious Mr. Rolland with no luck. I have yet to try the 2 other teenagers travelling with him. But somehow Thomas Sabin got from Antigua to the United States--where do I go from here to search. I even tried the World Genweb, but the Antigua site has very little and doesn't seem active.
