I am following up on a possible clue to my gr-gr-grandmother. Information from a greatgrandfather Mahlon Baldridge stated that his father in law was Nelson A. Thomas, born in New York and moved west to Illinois (Napierville, Du Page County) prior to 1839 when my greatgrandmother Ellen Losette Thomas was born. His wife is simply named Maria, no maiden name given. I have been able to track the family through the census and other family sources but have not been able to go any further until I found a Pedigree Resource File with the family included that gave Maria's name as Maria Sabins, born 1809 in Attica, Genessee County, NY, marrying Nelson Abial Thomas in 1830 also in Attica. I have tried contacting the person who submitted the genealogy but have not received any reply. If any of this is familiar, I would appreciate hearing about this side of the family. Will be happy to provide any information I have on the rest of the family.
