Hi,
       I suppose you are aware of the origins of the name Rylance or Rylands as it was historically. If not then it is supposed to have derived from the Rye family, Saxons who invaded and ended up living in Normandy. Then after the Norman invasion the Rye family took up land in Leicestershire and became the Rylands family or derivisions of the same. There is a coat of arms etc. Hope this is useful.
