Hi Robyn,
My grandmother "Tess", Teresa Walkden was born in 1903. I'm sure her husband Fred was around the same age. So unless Thirstan had a brother named Fred I doubt if we are of the same line. The only thing I know about Fred Rylance is that he was a prisoner of war for about 7 years. My grandmother said he was in the "Death March". I'm not up on my history so I'll have to lok into it deeper as my mother doesn't know either. Teresa still has a brother living in Manchester so I'll get in touch with him for any help he can give. Thanks for your help Robyn. - Bobby Poole
