Thanks for your email, Helen. How wonderful for you to visit Old Pallas and Pallas Green!I hope to one day.Did you happen to take photographs that you might be able to share?I would like to understand the layout of the area and of course would love to see some of the Ryan graves!Though only if you are willing and comfortable with sharing.
This is my mother-in-law's line. Her GrGrandmother Elizabeth Eliza "Bessie" Ryan was b. 1869 so younger than your Jeremiah. Her oldest brother John b. 1854 so more of a contemporary, sister Bridget b.c. 1859, brother William b. 1862.They were all born in Old Pallas to parents William Ryan and Hanora "Nora" Coffey Ryan. The Ryan surname is so prevalent that I keep thinking that Ryans who are in near proximity must be related, even if distantly!(wishful thinking?....)Were you able to make contact with any Ryans currently living in the area?My m-i-l did visit her distant relative in the mid 1990's but the woman was suspicious and not really cooperative.I'm sure she is deceased by now so I have no leads at the moment for contact.
I've put all that I know about my m-i-l's Ryans on a public Ancestry.com page if you are interested.
