I am hoping someone can help me with information about, and an obituary perhaps for Catherine Ryan.
I know little, She was born in Ireland in 1862(May) I think, and immigrated to USA about 1881. She married a man named John Gardner, had 7 children, but only 2 of them lived. Daniel, born in July 1890, and Edward in July 18977.
In the 1900 Census they were living in Ward 7, Suffolk Co MA. There was a family named Thomas living as lodgers at the same residence.
I'd like to know (1) who Catherine Ryan's parents and sibblings were, and if they too immigrated. Did sibblings marry etc. What ship she/they came over on, and when. Port of entry etc.
(2) Who were the Thomas family? I had this thought, that maybe Catherine Ryan, and the wife Anne Thomas may have been sisters.
Thomas, Ann born April 1865 immigrated to US 1880.
Married to James Thomas dob 1854 in Ireland(as was Anne)
immigrated in 1875. They had 2 living children(had had 4)
Nellie and James E, both born in Ma. Nellie March 1l890 and James 1892.
In the 1900 census the Thomas say they were married 15 years which would make it an 1885 marriage date.
Thank you for any information on above. While I'm particularly interested in Catherine Ryan and her family(in Ireland before she married John Ryan, as I do have some inf. on them after marriage here in the States) I'd appreciate information on the Thomas as well,
Name of ship , arrival date, port of entry etc. and who traveled with them if anyone.
