RYAN OBIT 1942

RYAN,John C.-66, died at his residence
near Old Washington Saturday night.He
was a member of the Baptist church and a
prominent Rhea county farmer until his
retirement because of ill health.
Surviving are his wife; seven daughters,
Mrs.Joseph Hipwell; Mrs.E.R.Gilberson and Miss Birdie Ryan,all of Detroit;
Miss Leona Ryan,Akron,O.; Mrs.F.W.Blackburn, Misses Lenore and
Charlema Ryan of Dayton; Five sons,Giles
A.and W.E.Ryan of Detroit; Clyde,Des
Moines,Ia.; Marley and Lawrence,Dayton;
three sisters, Mrs.Charlie Robinson,Pikeville,Tenn; Mrs.Floyd Walker,LaFayette,Ga., and Mrs.Will
Byrd,Battle Creek,Mich.; a brother,Will
Ryan,Dallas,Tex., and sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services at the
Dayton Baptist church.
