I am trying to find Matilda M. Ryals who married Henry Columbus (H.Columbus)Branson in 1882. He was known by the name "Columbus". My grandfather's obituary (Daniel Columbus - their son) shows his mother as Matilda Santina, but the marriage record from Liberty County shows her name as Matilda M. Ryals.
I would like to find something on her to see who her parents were and if possibily she had been married before.
Matilda and H.Columbus' first son was named was named Arthur. I know that sometimes people named their first sons after their fathers. But none of the children are named Henry. Only my grandfather, Daniel, is named with his father's "Columbus" as a middle name.
Matilda was probably born around 1863. Any help is greatly appreciated.
