We are looking for any information with regard to the following genealogical line (based upon our unconfirmed records):
William T. Rutledge
(b-ca. 1826 (?), possibly Morgan Co., GA;
d-ca. 1859, Chambers Co., AL)
It is believed that William T. Rutledge is the William T. Rutledge who was the oldest child of Charles Rutledge and Nancy Barton. Charles Rutledge married 1st wife Nancy Barton on Apr. 13, 1825, in Morgan Co., GA. Charles Rutledge had a son named William T., b-ca. 1826, Morgan Co, GA. (Charles Rutledge and Nancy Barton had seven children: William T., John W., Richard A., Elizabeth, Samuel S., Sarah, and Charles B.). In 1830, the Charles Rutledge family was in Henry Co., GA. In 1840, 1850, and 1860, Charles' family was in Chambers Co AL. After Charles' first wife died, he married Nancy Dean, 1845, in Chambers Co., AL.
William T. Rutledge married Sarah Jane Cook [of the noted Cooke family] in 1844 in Troup County, GA.

the daughter of Wesley Cook (1803-1880) and Mary Brooks (1808-1870).

William T. Rutledge and wife Sarah Jane were domiciled in Chambers Co. AL in 1850.
[By 1860, William T. had died, and Sarah Jane had married Josiah O'Rear, Sr., of Cass Co. TX. Sarah Jane then gave birth to George Clarence O'Rear. Sarah was still living in Cass Co., TX in 1880]
