Lucy King was my great aunt on my father's side. I asked my Mother for information and she sent the following:
The best source of information I know of is Thelma Ruth Porter Carter. Nell Rutledge Porter did extensive research on the Rutledge and Porter families and I am sure one of the children has her information.
Sarah Lucy Rutledge King was Grandpa's sister. Her daughter married a (Vernon?) Hickson, I do not remember his given name. The last time I heard of them they were living in Murfreesboro. He was in the movie theater business.
Aunt Lucy and Uncle Perry had some premature babies who are buried in Macedonia Cemetery (Lincoln County, TN) where your grandparents are buried. I don't know how many but at least two. The Hickson person could get information there, also.
Chris Pamplin's father put together 2 volumes on the Pamplin Family. There may be information on Lucy in it since the Pamplin and Rutledge families were intermarried. If interested, email me and I will forward your message to him.
