Explains alot about the Rutledges across the sea, Catholic and Protestant, Canadian and American, Irish and U.K., a huge history and explanation of how we came about and where we went. The best quote in this whole read is this ...'it is easier to lose an 'O' (hence,Rutledge) than to gain an 'O' (hence,Routledge), in the different spellings of our name. Good luck everyone and keep to details in your posts, don't just throw a name out without back up detailed information. Ormsby Rutledges are from Ireland Rep.
Officer Rutledges are N.Ireland, U.K. Declaration of Independence Rutledges are from Co's Tyrone/Fermanagh. Have fun. (No further posts needed, thanks).
