Richard Rutledge, Sr. Obit
DELTA, Ohio — Richard Rutledge, Sr., age 53, of Delta, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the University of Toledo Medical College of Ohio.
He was born March 8, 1954, in Morenci, to Doyle and Barbara (Elliott) Rutledge. Richard was a self-employed carpenter.
Richard is survived by one son, Richard Rutledge, Jr. of Jasper; four daughters, Paula Grant and her husband, Joseph, of Somerset, Ky., Robin Rene Rutledge of Jasper, Rachel Gearig Rutledge of Delta and Jessica Rutledge of Toledo; his siblings, Ron Rutledge and his wife, Kay, of Sand Creek, Roxanne Metzmaker and her husband, Rick, of Jasper, Roberta “Bobbie” Rutledge of Sand Creek, Rod Rutledge and his wife, Deb, of Biloxi, Miss., Roseann Backos and her husband, Dennis, of Roseville, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services for Richard will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with his brother-in-law, Dennis Backos, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Read this obituary and send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomeadriantecumseh.com.
