Where did they marry? How old was she at the time of marriage? These questions need to be addressed before census records can be checked. Could she have been born before 1930? The 1930 census records cannot be search until 2010.

I am looking for an Amos Weddle born may 21, 1829 and was married to a Martha C. I know only that he was born in Indinana and moved to Marion County, Atena MT and worked in the coal mines. He Died in Atena Mt. there was also a Nelly,Betty, Annie, Susaner, Joseph, Brown, Sarine, Mary E., Daniel, Barney

I have tried for years to find the parents of Amos D Weddle, b 21 May 1829 In Indiana. Amos seems to be a common Weddle name. Amos is burried in Atena Mt, Whiteside Tn. He was a coal miner as was his sons. I have found some evidance that he may of had a brother nemed Byron. His son William Melton Weddle named his sons, Bashford Amos, and Aubry. Does anyone have any info on the Amos?

I have not found any of the above Weddles in the census in 1860, so they may have been moving about that time or the parents may have died. I did find your Amos and his brother Byron in the 1870 Marion Co., TN census.
Amos Weddle who was born in 1795 in Hawkins Co., TN is a son of Amos Weddle (b. abt 1764-1767) and Elizabeth Stinson. Amos Weddle bca 1764-67 is a son of John Weddle and Mary Walling – the Wallings are another very large family of which you will find much information about online. There was a huge migration of Weddles and associated families going to Indiana from Hawkins Co., Tennessee and Lee County, VA. about 1818 and continuing for many years.

I beleive we have a match! the Amos I am talking about lived about a stones throw from Dade County GA in a place called Atena Mt, Marion county Tn. Both towns are coal mining towns and both Amos D and Amos W are buried there.

my great grandfather was bashford amos weddle he married lillie marie burch in hartshorne ok about 1913 they had 3 daugers violet, ruby, and jean violet is now 94 she has 4 generations of girls looking for any her family uncle pete moved to ala. when she was little she had uncles orb, van,jim,and dan cusin roy about her same age there is a bashford amos weddle living in cartersville ga her aunt hester died in denver co after 1948 ba's mother was om weddle his grafather was amos maried to martha c son wm daughter mary darr uncle pete was born in marion tn 1879 we live in ar please respond with info if you are part of my family you are missing a group of kin who is missing you
