Joyce,
I know that in 1800 several family members were Prebyterians, but don't know about accents. I knew my grandfather as a very young boy as he died when I was 3 but we visited my grandparents at least weekly. The only PA connection I have made is to Chester or Delaware counties. I have not found a connection to York county and I don't think my father or grandfather knew of one as my father and I made a couple trips to York county and he never mentioned that any relatives lived in the area.
