Dear John,
I would be very interested in your descendants and the following are mine. Possibly I will be able to connect mine to your's, if you have a James, that is.
The following is our line:
I find our James Ruth (b. about 1755)living in Lancaster Co. Pa. with his wife Catherine around 1788 and their children:
James Jr. b. 1782, I believe was born prior to being in Lancaster
Polly b. approx. 1783, also prior to Lancaster
Rosina, b.1783,in Lancaster
Samuel b. 1888, my line, also born in Lancaster
John, b. 1889 in Lancaster
Becky b. 1789 in Lancaster, which married Henry Yost
Elizabeth b. 1791 born in Lancaster, which married Christian Martin,
Jacob b. 1793, in Lancaster
Catherine b. 1794, in Lancaster, married Samuel Shue.After Samuel past away she married Henry Renoll from North Codorus Township in York Co. Pa. which was our Samuel's father in-law!
James Sr. moved to North Codorus in about 1804 where Samuel and Jacob had settled.
I do not know where he came from prior to 1788. Some people have him connected to John the son of The Peter Ruth b. 1700 which came to Burks County in 1733 and settled on the Cooc------- Creek in -----Springs but I have not been able to connect them as yet and now I have my doubts about it. Over the last two weeks I have found Ruth's in Maryland, & D.E. that make me wonder.
Our line is: 1. James Ruth, 2.Samuel, 3. Adam, 4. Obadiah, 5. Joesph M., 6. Joseph W.W.,
7. Larry (my husband)
That's pretty much my story! I've been looking James for about 20 years now and hope I find him soon. Hope this is not too confusing. Talk later, Joyce
