Joyce,

Briefly, my Sam RUTH was born abt. 1690 and was Scots-Irish and indications are that he first settled in Kennett Square, PA. He later moved to New Castle Co, DE and had 8 or 9 children. There are later family references to Kennett Square, so my confidence in the K. S. connection is high. Children's names are: William (possibly 2), George, James, Joseph, Alexander, Mary, Samuel, and John. I have no additional information on James, but I cannot rule out his return to PA.

Sam's wife was Mary Farrer.

By seperate e-mail I'm sending you much more detailed information and hope you will extend me the courtesy of a reply with similare detail on your James and his children so I can research them ans determine if there is a connection to my tree.
