I have an informal family history written by a great aunt Vivienne Cole paul that has a lot of fiction woven in with the facts that shows another Rutan-Brower tie.It sates "William RuTon married Margaret Steel on June 10, 1782.Their son was Isaac Brower RuTonwho married Margaret Baker in 1809.Their son was Charles TuTon who bedame one of the first captains of a steamboat on the Hudson River. He married Martha Smith. They had three children, Hiram, charles and Martha.Martha RuTon married Parsells Cole." (note: I have typed the lettered as it is--with altered spellings.Maybe you can find a Brower RUtan link.Rutans and Rutons are the same, that I have verified.
