Surname Pagomilla

Hi There,

I am researching my great great grandfather, Romuald Garmus's family tree. His mother's name was apparently Alma Pagomilla. I've tried the Lithuanian message boards (he was from Lithuania), but I can't find the origins of his mother's maiden name of Pagomilla, and I get the impression that her name may not have been Lithuanian. I'm wondering if it could have been Russian? Does the -illa suffix give any hints? Was the first name Alma common to any particular country? Thanks so much!
