found a picture connected to CT.? and Russels there

I have recently acquired a picture of William R. Russel and Franklyn Russel in Bristol, CT. At least that is what the note is on the back. These men look to be in their 50's to 60's. And by their suits, maybe the picture was taken in the 20's or 30's. Just guessing...I'm not good at dating things like this. I suspect they are brothers. The note also says they were cousins of my maternal grandmother. I have done a lot of family genealogy, and do not have any Russels, but after checking through, I suspect these might be connected through the Ryder and Messinger lines of our family. Anyone know these men?
