I am researching my family of Conklins in Warren County, Iowa. I have found an old cemetery which is on the farm of my great great grandfather, Ephriam Conklin. There are 31 burials there and there are some people buried there that I don't recognize the name and wondering if anyone out there knows these names and why they are at the Conklin Cemetery. Could open another door for me......
The oldest appear to be:
Lenhardt Sandy Russ - b. 6-13-1818, d. 9-19-1877
Katherine Sinnard Russ b. 1-8-1825 d. 10-13-1876
I think the children are:
Benedict Lenhardt Russ b. 12-28-1844 d. 1-4-1864
Jeremiah Sandy Russ b. 11-28-1855 d. 1-5-1864
Lewis Sinnard Russ b. 12-28-1844 d. 1-1-1864
Robert Henry Russ b. 2-22-1849 d. 1-5-1864
Stephen Frederick Russ b. 2-22-1849 d. 1-3-1864
Taylor William Russ b. 12-28-1844 d. 1-3-1864
It appears there might be some twins??? and they all died in early 1864??? I don't know---perhaps someone could shed some light on this and how they were connected to the Conklins.
