Two corrections to my previous post:

William Rushing and Jane (Nichols) are first found in Mississippi about 1836, not 1832.

Mark Rushing and Elizabeth Freeman married in 1830, not 1833. In 1833 they were living in Madison Co., Tennessee, before moving to Tishomingo Co., MS.

I should know better than trust dates to my memory!
