Rupert Family - Waesland Ship
Posted by: Melanie Oslund (ID *****1146) Date: November 07, 2008 at 07:49:07

I am a decendent of Peter (Pader) Rupert and Catherine Littlefawn. I have heard from various sources that the Rupert family immigrated to US and settled in the Schoharie Valley in New York, from Germany. Apparently they travelled across the the Atlantic Ocean aboard a ship called the "Waesland".

The Shaver/Schaeffer families may have also been aboard this ship who are also direct ancestors of mine.

Does anyone know if and when this may have occured and where abouts in Germany that may have came from? Also looking for anyone who has any info on the ancestors of Peter Rupert & Catherine Littlfawn.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated!

Please feel free to contact me via e-mail: melie_jen@hotmail.com or you can also message me on Facebook - Melanie Oslund.
