Im hoping you can help me. Ive found your Matthaus Ruoff and also his brother Michael 10th Nov 1858. Im looking for a Michael Ruff born in Germany in 1858 who came to England and married Elizabeth Hanenberger. I have a copy of the original marriage certificate written in German and it states his fathers name was Peter. Do you know if this is the one and same Michael, or have I hit another brick wall. I do known that many Germans changes their christian names as well as surnames but I keep getting stuck. Can you help?
