I am looking for information on Sophia Williams who married Levi M. Rumsey b.Nov. 22, 1821 d.May 2, 1875 of typhoid pneumonia.
Levi & Sophia lived in Tioga County, PA and had at least 3 children together as I have found Edwin Rumsey, Frank Rumsey and another son.
After Levi died Sophia married Peter McNeil on April 13, 1881 at Mainesburg, Tioga County, PA at the house of her son Edwin Rumsey. Service performed by Rev. E. Morris.
Peter McNeil is my 4g grandfather.
Peter is buried in Hope Cemetery in Corning, NY which is where he and his first wife lived after moving from Poughkeepsie, NY in 1841. I know he was born in 1815 and died in 1901.
Does any one have any more information on Sophia because I have only been able to find out that she died September 17, at 80 years of age in Caton, Steuben Co., NY, but there was no year given on the posting, so I don't know when she was born or who her parents were or where she is buried.
