My Rembaugh/Rumbaugh line apparently goes back to the name Rambach. They arrived in America (from Germany) in the early to mid 1700's. Rambach changed to Rumbaugh, and in my line, Rumbaugh changed to Rembaugh (just because the 2nd wife of my g-g-g-grandfather didn't like the "rum" part of his name).
