I am interested in starting a new thread. The research into the Southern RUGGLES' has deadended with: William RUGGLES having been transported to MD on the 'ROSE' in 1755, probably as a youth for petty crimes. He served in the MD Militia in 1777 and applied and was granted a pension in Washington Co., MD Also, James RUGGLES applied for a penwion in Wash. Co., MD in 1836 at age 73 but was denied for lack of proof. I would also like to see activity on this message board and also the rootsweb RUGGLES list start to pick back up.
