I suspect that your Mary was the daughter of a John Rufner, Jr and Mary A. Boyersfamily that lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana about that time.I don't have my records handy at the moment but I have a great grandfather Jake Rufner who was born around there in 1857.I believe Mary A. Boyers Rufner died around 1865 and I've heard that she is buried in SE Marshall County, Indiana.John Rufner, Jr. then moved to north central Michigan (Mecosta and Isabella counties) where some of his kids lived.I don't know when or where he died. His parents were John Ruffner, Sr, Conrad Rufner,Peter Rufner, and Simon Rufener, going backwards. They lived and died in Dekalb County, Indiana, Stark County, Ohio, and Cumberland, Berks and Bucks counties of Pennsylvania from 1740s-1860s.
