Lack of Zoom features in Family Tree Maker ---Sight Impaired gentleman at “War”

Many of us are in our middle to senior years and our eyesight is not what it once was. Mine is due to macular degeneration and the loss of center vision in my right eye. Yet Family Tree Maker version 16 has very limited “Zoom” capabilities. There are only six levels of zoom which cannot be varied. Five levels are 100% or less and only one above 100%, that being 200%. The main input window “Family View” has no “Zoom” option at all! Why so much wasted screen real estate in Family View anyway? There are many small popup windows with small fonts and no zoom options, nor can they be maximized to full screen. What are the people that program this software thinking? A client base that is older rather than younger and a program with no, little, or limited zoom options! Even Windows Internet Explorer has better zoom features!

I may be mad, but not crazy. Mad about the lack of “Zoom” features in Family Tree Maker. This discriminates against users like me and many others with visual problems. You may not need these features now, but let me assure you that you will in the future. What will you do when all your data and work is in FTW and you can neither see it nor add to it? Please help me and others who need these “Zoom” features by writing or emailing Family Tree Maker today!

Thank you in advance,
Coleman Ruffin
