ROBERT W. RUFFIN
ROCKY MOUNT - Robert W. "Dutch" Ruffin, 77, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Ruffin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Lynch Ruffin; daughters, Elizabeth R. Pittman of Rocky Mount and Robin Proctor of Tarboro; sons, John Thomas Ruffin of Everetts, Timmy Eugene Ruffin of Hobgood and Danny Earl Ruffin of Macclesfield; sisters, Emily Rose of Crisp and Ethel Webb of Rocky Mount; brothers, Clifton Ruffin of Rocky Mount and Melvin Ruffin of Newport News, Va.; 12 grandchidlren and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro.
