First: did you know that the Coffey married into Rue? (had to tell you that before I forgot)
As for the cemetery listing, I originally worked off that, but now I have a copy of the original handwritten survey that was done for the cemetery. I am also working on getting it updated. I am at Good Hope Cemetery 4 or 5 times a month. Currently, I am diong research on those buried in the cemetery and hope to self-publish the book by May 2002. Proceeds will be used for restoration, preservation, and beautification of the cemetery. I am also hoping that this fall, to do the Cemetery plot map. One does not currently exist to date. I have already began the photo documentation phase. I guess I have become the self-appointed historian and having a blast doing it. But in all seriousness, this project has alot of special meaning to me personally. Grover Coffey Rue was my mentor and inspiration in the beginning. He was a walking talking book of knowledge of the people and the area. Grover passed away on 30 June 2001. My Mother, still living, was also grew up right across the road from the cemetery. She is also full of stories and details. I am just trying to pass on information of the past in hopes of preserving it for the future generations.
