Ok. There are, as I've seen online, about 45-60 spellings for some of these names, Rudecill (local spelling), the one a certified genealogist gave to me last year being "Rudesel". And this form is definitely German; but of course, Swiss German could also be spelled that way.

The name "Frusem" as a town name might end up being very significant for us, since we can't seem to come up with a town name for our Rupert ancestors. We're not in a position to leave any stone unturned--and to date, we've turned quite a number of them.
