I'm not sure what is required by DAR. I'm fairly sure you've seen Archible's will naming his son George. If not it's:
Also "Archible." Will probated September 27, 1787. Will Book B pg 381A Shenandoah Courthouse, Woodstock, VA
Mentions wife Elizabeth; Sons James and Isaac who received lands in Kentucky, sons George and Archibald, Daughter Mary------Elizabeth and James were Executors
And his service: Military: March 26, 1753, Lieutenant of Foot in the VA Militia
Was going to suggest a DNA test then remembered that George had only one son, John, and he died in Texas with, as far as we know, no descendants.
