The only family records of George Ruddell I am aware of were in Vol. XVII, June 1992 issue of Bits of Bark From The Family Tree, published by the Batesville (AR) Genealogical Society. That document has a Family bible record from George and Theodosia. It gives son Isaac's death as Feb 5, 1815.
It also says "George (Our father)" and a death date of March 1846, which we know is incorrect.
George's daughters were Elizabeth, Sarah and Rebecca. Elizabeth first married Andrew Summers in 1799, and second Thomas Wagnon. Wagnon is the correct spelling. Her brothers were Abraham, Isaac, John, George and Cornelius.
From the probate of George Sr, we know that Abraham had a son Isaac. The 1850 Texas census does not list a son George for Isaac.
We recently searched files in Pike Co., MO and found no record of the depositions. According to one of the clerks, court records of that time were destroyed by a flood--or at least by water in the basement.
Deed records did show transactions by Lewis Musick in 1819 when he bought and sold a town lot in Clarksville.
John Musick of Cooke Co., TX sold his interest for $500 to John R. Musick of Wise Co., TX, William G Musick of Montague Co., TX and John H Bilue and Susannah of Scott Co., AR. May 1860.
William G Musick and Matilda, his wife sold their interest to William English in Nov 1859.
John Ruddell was a witness on John R Musick's sale to Thomas Cox.
I don't know why George and Theodosia would have been raising Abraham's children. The 1830 Independence Co., AR census shows Abraham with 2 males and 2 females, all under 15, and a female 30-40. The only time we've seen Abraham's wife mentioned on a deed record, her name was Cassandra.
