Thank you for your reply. My sourcing for the marriage of William Hulme and Margaret (Rucker?) is not real strong. I first found something about it at the Probate Judge's Office in Elbert County. Was it an official record? I think it was someone else's note about the family. Then it was shown in the Hulme Family Newsletter, edited by Amy Warren Sanders. I also found it shown on a website "My Southern Family" by Becky Bass Bonner and Josephine Lindsay Bass. None of which is "proof" by any definition. I received a message from Ann Holloman of Royston, Georgia 16 Dec 2007. She is a very careful researcher I trust very much and she said "I have in my records that they were married before 1799 though I don't seem to have any notes about where I obtained such info. I have him born abt 1778 and died before Nov 1828. I do know where I got that death. Notes for William Hulme: !DEATH: "Hist. Coll. Is there a possibility that there were two Margaret Rucker's? I would appreciate any assistance you can give me on this. My e-mail is: bcoup@phoenixquest.com. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
