I have a picture of a lady sitting in a wicker chair out in a yard. Written on the back are the words:

Lived in fort in pioneer days at Elkhart Texas in order to be safe from Indians.
"Grannee" Rucker
Mother of mother of Laura Emma Chambers

If this sounds familiar to anyone, I would be glad to send you a copy. I know she belongs to someone. We have Rucker's in our line, but can't place her there.
