Judith Rucker b. 1860 Deep Water Twp, Henry Co., MO
I am seeking information on Edward E. Briggs and his wife Judy W. Rucker Briggs. Edward can be found with is parents in Spruce Township, Bates Co., MO in the 1880 census age 27 listed as E. E. below.
Calvin BRIGGS - Self Male W 70 RI Farmer RI RI
E. S. BRIGGS - Wife Female W 64 OH Keeping House CT CT
E. H. BRIGGS - Son Male W 30 IL Farmer RI CT
E. E. BRIGGS - Son Male W 27 IL Farmer RI CT
Alis M. WEST - GDau Female W 4 MO MO IL
Edward E. Briggs married Judy W. Rucker in Bates Co., MO on the 27th of August 1887. I found that information, but can't seem to find anything for these two people after that. So, technically, I'm not really sure if this is the same Judith Rucker who was born in 1860.
I am interested in finding out how old Judy Rucker Briggs was -curious to see if she is the same Judith Rucker who was an orphaned girl, daughter of Charles E. Rucker and Margaret A. Brim of Deep Water, Henry Co., MO. Charles was a brother of Willis T. Rucker who was in Vernon Co. MO during this time. Also in 1880, Henrietta Rucker, sister to the Judith Rucker, was living in the township of White Oak, Henry Co., MO. This area borders on to the Spruce Twp, Bates Co. where Judy W. Rucker married Edward E. Briggs.
The other two sisters, Mary Frances b. 1857 and Elizabeth Jane Rucker b. 1858 have been found in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses of Henry, Pettis and Johnson Counties MO. But I have never been able to find the brother James H. Rucker born Anderson Co., KY 1854.
I seem to be a bit lost with this Rucker girl, so any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks, Sam
